Life Launch DSPs will deliver flexible, high-quality, intentional community-based services.
A Life Launch DSP will provide intentional community Day Service.
They will also be focused on helping people transition from learning the skills of their job to needing health and safety support to continue to be safe at work.
They will be responsible for facilitating and implementing the intentional community engagement goals.
Location:
Monmouth Administrative Office (With regular travel to PCL Locations & in the community).
Position Type:
Hourly, Non-Exempt.
Wage:
$18.
50/hour (Base Wage:
$17.
50 plus $1/hour differential).
Differential of $1.
00 is applied to the base wage after all required trainings are completed.

High school diploma/GED required.
Must be at least 18 years old when employment begins.
Pass a State/Federal Criminal History Check.
Background screening including employment and education history.
Pre-employment drug screening (for the use of illegal substances in Oregon).
Valid Driver's License with an insurable driving record.
Be able to be certified and maintain certification with First Aid/CPR.
Be able to be certified and maintain certification in OIS.
Job Specific Duties:
Developing opportunities, assessments, resources, and activities that facilitate and support the person served in a manner that provides for a safe, independent, and enriched lifestyle in their work and communities.
Monitoring assigned caseloads and assisting with designing weekly schedules to ensure adequate staffing and supports are in place to meet people's service needs.
Provide On the Job Attendant Care (OTJAC) supports in various community businesses.
Be able to work a very flexible schedule with the ability to make last minute changes.
Providing or assisting with transportation needs of people assigned to support.
Provide a stable living environment by promoting and attending to the person's right to respect and dignity, individual choice and input, and also ensuring health and safety needs at all times.
Respect and protect the confidentiality and privacy of the people supported.
Knowing, understanding, and implementing all Positive Behavior Support Plans and other specific positive behavior supports.
General Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations:
Proficiency in computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and databases and the ability to learn agency applications.
Enhanced math skills - must be able to accurately balance a budget and basic math transactions.
Professional, clear, and positive oral and written communication skills both expressive and receptive.
Excellent critical thinking skills in all levels of daily activity, planning, and decision making.
Able to work unsupervised and support people without other team members present.
Promote, model, and adhere to PCL's Policies and Procedures.
Complete all duties related to being a Mandatory Abuse Reporter.
Must have dependable, reliable, and regular work attendance for assigned hours.
Constantly strive to promote a positive view of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through words and action.
Build and maintain professional relationships with a variety of teams and people inside and outside of PCL.
