Maybe a big block? Perhaps in a convertible? Well, what I have here is a first year of the C3's, in just that configuration! Finished in a very unusual color combination of British Green over a Tobacco interior with a Tan convertible top.
Under the hood is the original (number's Matching) 427/390 horse single 4 barrel V8, that starts, and runs beautifully.
The 427 in this version looked a little mundane, and frankly just didn't POP when the hood was opened.
This particular 427/390, is now dressed the way Chevrolet should have made it look in the first place, and now it looks as good as it runs.
Follow the 427 to the Muncie 4 speed, and now you have the combination legends were made of.
Yep! When you drive a C3 Corvette, you sit low like the car sits, and your right hand falls easily to the chrome shifter.
The long high fendered front end stretches out before you, and you just feel like you're in a race car.
C3 Corvettes are known for their rigidity on the road, but, this Stingray is really a pleasure to drive.
All of the easy to read gauges function properly, and power steering takes all of the work out of slinging that big 427 around.
The power 4 wheel disc brakes pull the Stingray down to a stop without effort, and FYI, the new aluminum radiator cools down the 427 under all conditions, so, you don't have to worry about any overheating.
The British Green paint is of a driver-quality.
Meaning that it's been on the Stingray for many, many years, and although it has held up well, it's not a perfect show car paint job.
This is a vintage Corvette that has managed to keep it's original 427 big block engine in place and intact.
Original 4 speed Stingray, that's not only a worthy investment, but one you can actually drive anywhere, with confidence, and reliability.
Very nice Corvette Stingray!!.
