This particular '56 was treated to a Resto-mod type of a restoration some years ago, by adding a nicely warmed over 283, backed up with a quick shifting 4 speed.
Add to this a little custom gauge pod behind the shifter that looks like it could have come from the factory, and that pretty much rounds out the extent of the deviation from stock.
The beautiful Onyx black paint is exceeding superior to the quality the Corvette would have left St.
Louis with.
Very deep, and very glossy.
The vibrant red interior is beautiful as well, and compliments the black paint like no other combination! Both the white soft top and black hard top are in beautiful condition, although you'll likely just want to cruise around with the top down.
.
Or off as it were.
The fact is, this is a beautiful, fun driving Corvette, but unfortunately I don't have any history or provenance for it.
Nevertheless, a great car to show, drive, as well as invest in.
If you've always wanted a first generation Corvette, that you can cruise around, and just enjoy anytime, this is it! Super nice, great car!.
